MYMENSINGH: Miscreants torched two passenger buses by hurling petrol bombs at them in Tarakanda and Trishal areas of the district on Monday night and early Tuesday.
Tarakanda Police sources said that a gang of miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at a passenger bus, Shymoli Bangla Paribahan, in Modhupur union of the upazila around 7:30pm.
A fire was originated at the bus from the blast so that the passengers got panic.
At least three persons were injured while they were jumping down from the window of the bus.
Tarakanda Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ali Ahammad confirmed the matter to banglanews.
On the other hand, another passenger bus was caught fire as some miscreants tossed petrol bomb aiming at the bus in Trishal upazila on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway around 12:15am on Tuesday.
The bus was totally gutted in the blaze, sources said.
However, no one was reportedly injured in the incident as there was not any passenger in the bus on that time, police sources said.
Trishal Thana Officer-in-Charge Moniruzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
