DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Tuesday placed BNP Joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on a 5-day remand in an arson case.

Metropolitan Magistrate Aminul Haque passed the remand order in the evening after Sub-Inspector (SI) Siddiqur Rahman of Jatrabari Thana produced him before the court with a 10-day remand plea.

Earlier, police filed a case against Rizvi for torching a bus in the area with the thana.
