DHAKA: Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) rounded up 24 leaders-activists of BNP, Jamaat-e-Islami and Islami Chhatra Shibir from different places in the city on charges carrying out sabotages.

Of the detainees, five are activists of BNP and 19 others are Jamaat-Shibir men.

Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner (media) of DMP, confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Police, in separate drives, nabbed the suspected saboteurs in last 24 hours till Thursday morning, he added.
