PATUAKHALI: A Juba league leader was killed in a road accident in Salehiyakhanka area under Mirzaganj upazila of the district Friday night.

The deceased was identified as Juba league vice-president Khairul Kabir Khokon, 35.

Traffic Inspector Faruk Hossain of Patuakhali confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the accident occurred when a motorcycle collided with an engine run tomtom in the area around 9:00pm, leaving three Juba League leaders Khokon, Pintu and Suman injured.

Later, locals rushed them to the Patuakhali 250-bed hospital where Khokon succumbed to his injures.
