DHAKA: The additional security forces have been deployed around BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan office of the city on Friday.
The security measures have been beefed up as the BNP chief is scheduled to address a press conference in afternoon at her Gulshan political office.
Officer-in-charge (Investigation) Firoj Kobir of Gulshan Thana told banglanews that the additional police forces have been deployed to avert any untoward situation in the area.
A total of eight platoons of police are patrolling around the office, the OC added.
