DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Friday declared that the ‘peaceful’ movement would continue until it yields a logical consequence.
She came up with announcement at an hour-long press conference, starting from 4:45pm, at her Gulshan office.
Urging her supporters to join the movement, Khaleda Zia said the movement is for realizing the rights of people and it is for restoring democracy in the country.
Reading out a written statement, the BNP chief also criticized the ruling Awami League.
Blaming the prime minster for the ongoing crisis, Khaleda Zia said, “The country is in deep crisis. The Awami League, particularly Sheikh Hasina, is responsible for the crisis.”
She said there is absolutely no accountability in government. After snatching away the voting rights of the people they do not have any moral rights to talk about democracy.
