DHAKA: A housewife Sazia Afrin was hurt critically as a group of miscreants blasted cocktail in city’s New Market area Saturday evening.

The victim’s husband Tarique Aziz told banglanews that they were waiting for a vehicle to return their home in Nakhalpara after shopping.

Suddenly a cocktail was blasted there leaving my wife injured critically, he added.

Afrin is now underway treatment at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

DMCH camp police assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Sentu Chandra Das confirmed the matter.
