DHAKA: BNP joint secretary general Barkatullah Bulu said the government will be held responsible if anything happened to the ‘missing’ BNP joint-secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed.
He issued the warning through a press release on Sunday.
The BNP leader claimed there is no trace of Salahuddin in past five days of his missing as the law enforcers detained him from his residence in city’s Uttara area on March 10.
Police have yet to produce the ‘missing’ leader before the court or release him.
However, the law enforcers denied the matter of Salahuddin’s detention, the statement added.
It also said the family members and also people of the country are anxious as there are many examples like the incident during the tenure of incumbent Awami League-led government.
Barkatullah also condemned Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as she said “BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia have trafficked the BNP joint-secretary general putting inside garbage bags”.
He also demanded the government to release Salahuddin or produce him before the court.
