DHAKA: A Dhaka court on Sunday denied the bail pleas of BNP acting secretary general Mira Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s advisor Mosaddeq Ali Falu.
Judge Imrul Kayes of Metropolitan Sessions Judge’s Court passed the order after hearing the bail pleas filed by the defending lawyer Advocate Zainul Abedin Mezbah.
However, law enforcers arrested Mirza Fakhrul from National Press Club premises on January 6, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi from a house in Baridhara on January 30 and Mosaddeq Ali from Khaleda Zia’s political office in city’s Gulshan area on February 1.
The BNP leaders are kept in remands in several phases.
