DHAKA: Dhaka metropolitan unit of Jamaat-e-Islami on Monday brought out processions in different parts of the city demanding the release of its leaders and activists.

A procession was brought out in city’s Mohakhali area at 8:30am.

Jamaat’s Ramna Thana unit amir Dr Rezaul Karim, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Thana amir Azam Kamal Hossain, Banani Thana unit amir Saiful Islam, Tejgaon Thana unit secretary Sheikh Neyamul Karim and Badda Thana unit secretary Mawlana Kutub Uddin, among others, took part in the procession.

Another procession, led by Jamaat Dhaka metropolitan unit assistant secretary Mohammad Mobarak Hossain, was brought out in city’s Mirpur area.

A press release, signed by Jamaat metropolitan unit publicity assistant M Alauddin Arman, informed the media on Monday noon.
