SAVAR (DHAKA): Police arrested five BNP men including suspended Savar mayor and also BNP municipality unit president Refat Ullah.

Savar Model Thana police arrested him from Ullail Bus Stand at 10:00pm on Sunday.

Law enforcers also arrested municipality unit BNP vice-president Nazim Uddin who was staying with Refat Ullah.

Moreover, three BNP activists were arrested from Tantuljhora and Bhakurta of Savar municipality area.

Savar Model Thana senior assistant police super (ASP) Rusel Sheikh said that Refat Ullah was arrested in several violence cases filed during BNP-led 20-party alliance called nationwide hartal and blockade after January 5 national election in 2014.
