DHAKA: Nomination forms have been collected for BNP-backed Abdul Awal Mintu for Dhaka North and Abdus Salam for Dhaka South city corporations Wednesday.

Mintu’s son Tafsir Awal and BNP activist Selim collected the forms from respective returning officers’ office in the afternoon.

Tafsir said his father will vie in the election after getting party nod while the formal candidature declaration will be made on March 29.

Meanwhile, nomination paper has also been collected for Mahi B Chowdhury for Dhaka North City Corporation mayoral polls.
