DHAKA: The Election Commission (EC) Saturday sent show cause notices to two mayoral candidates of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) for breaching election code of conduct.
Returning Officer Mir Sarwar Morshed sent the notices to Awami League backed Sayed Khokon and Jatiyo Party-backed Saifuddin Milon.
Sayed Khokon, who was show caused as city AL organizing secretary Hazi Selim campaigned for him after Juma Prayer on Friday, told banglanews, “I will reply to the notice on Sunday.”
On the other hand, Saifuddin Milon was show caused as he pasted posters for election campaign. He was also asked to reply by Sunday.
