DHAKA: The appeal hearing of death row convicted war criminals Jamaat-e-Islam secretary general Ali Ahsan Mohammad Mujahid and BNP standing committee member Salauddin Quader Chowdhury will start Tuesday.

The appeal pleas were placed in the Appellate Division’s cause list for Tuesday, said the Supreme Court’s website on Monday afternoon.

A four-member bench of the Appellate Division led by Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha will hold the appeal hearing.

Other bench members include Justice Nazmun Ara Sultana, Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain and Justice Hasan Foez Siddique.

However, chief lawyer of the defendants of the two cases is Khandaker Mahbub Hossain while attorney general Mahbube Alam will move for the state in the court.
