Jamaat’s hartal on Monday

DHAKA: Immediately after party leader Kamaruzzaman had been executed for war crimes, Jamaat-e-Islami on Saturday night called countrywide dawn-to-dusk hartal for Monday.

War criminal Jamaat-e-Islami leader Muhammad Kamaruzzaman was hanged earlier on Saturday night for his crimes against humanity during the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971.

He was executed around 10:30pm in Dhaka Central Jail amid beefed up security.
