DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Saturday afternoon surprisingly distributed leaflets for her party-backed Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) contender Tabith Awal.

Party chief, without any prior announcement, came out of her Gulshan residence for Pink City Market in Gulshan-2. She also visited Dhaka City Corporation (DCC) Market in Gulsha-1.

Accompanied by a number of BNP leaders, she sought votes for Tabith, who later joined her at Banani.

After distributing leaflets at Navana Shopping Complex, Khaleda Zia headed to city’s Badda area and later returned to the DCC Market.

She waved hands to the people on her way to campaign.
