DHAKA: Motorcade of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia came under attack on Monday afternoon during campaign for Dhaka City Corporations polls at Karwanbazar in the capital.

Three people were injured and five vehicles were vandalized during attack when the motorcade reached at Karwanbazar routing Gulshan-2, Banani, Mohakhali and Farmgate.

The motorcade left the spot immediately towards Moghbazar.

Awhile before the attack, Khaleda Zia said in a street rally, “We are fighting for rights of vote and rice. Vote our candidate Tabith Awal and we will reply to all terrorism.”
