DHAKA: Ruling Awami League (AL)-supported mayoral candidate of Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Sayeed Khokon welcomed BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia in poll campaigns.

He made the remark to the media after a view exchange program held in city’s Hazaribagh area on Wednesday noon.

He said that a festive mood has been created due to the BNP chief’s involvement with city poll campaigns.

‘I welcome her (Khaleda Zia) and request all to thwart any anarchy during her poll campaigns,’ Khokon said.

On army deployment, he said, ‘It is a good decision. It will help people cast votes freely’.

Fazle Nur Tapas MP and other AL local unit leaders, among others, attended the view exchange program.
