DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s adviser and also Supreme Court Bar Association president Advocate Khandaker Mahbub Hossain said the BNP chief will continue the poll campaigns for the sack of democracy and people.
Mahbub came up with this assertion on Wednesday after meeting with senior leaders at BNP’s Naya Paltan headquarter over the repeated attacks on Khaleda Zia’s motorcade.
He said amid the attacks, the BNP chairperson will continue the election campaigns and they will try the best to participate in the elections.
The lawyer claimed that the attacks were carried out to kill Khaleda Zia. He also questioned the government whether they want to keep democracy in the country.
He also threatened tougher actions against the government with the support of people of the country.
Standing Committee members Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Lieutenant general (retd) Mahbubur Rahman, Brigadier (retd) ASM Hannan Shah, among others, were present at the meeting.
