DHAKA: The appellate division upheld the bail order of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s adviser Mosaddek Ali Falu in sabotage case.

A four member bench led by Chief Justice SK Shinha passed the order on Thursday.

Senior lawyer Khandaker Mahbub Hossain, along with lawyer Masud Rana, moved for Falu and Attorney General Mahbub-e-Alam for the state.

Earlier on April 12, High Court (HC) Justices M Rezaul Haque and M Khasruzzaman granted bail for Falu.

The case was filed with Mirpur Thana for creating sabotage during hartal and blockade enforced by BNP-led 20-party alliance.

However, plainclothes police picked up Falu in front of BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office on February 1.
