8 BNP men among 78 held in Jessore

JASSORE: Law enforcers arrested 78 persons, including eight leaders and activists of BNP, in overnight drives in different parts of the district.

The drives were conducted from Wednesday night to Thursday morning.

Jessore district police control room sources said that among the arrestees, eight were from BNP and the others accused in several cases including vandalism and attacks.

The arrestees were set to be produced before court, the sources added.
