DHAKA:  After a day break, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairperson Khaleda Zia began her campaign in the city corporation polls for sixth day on Friday.

Khaleda’s motorcade emerged out of her Gulshan residence at 4:35pm and headed towards city’s Natun Bazar area.

Moments before, vehicle of protocol police was seen taking position near the house aimed at ensuring security of Khaleda Zia.

The BNP chief started her campaign for party-backed mayoral and counselor aspirants in Dhaka South, Dhaka North and Chittagong city corporations’ polls, to be held on April 28.

During her campaigning, Khaleda’s motorcades were come under attacks for several times allegedly carried out by the supporters of ruling Awami League.
