DHAKA: At least 81 people including four activists of BNP and its key ally Jamaat-e-Islami were arrested in Jessore and Jhenaidah districts.

Law enforcers conducted the drives from Friday midnight to Saturday morning.

Jessore district police control room sources said that the arrestees were accused in different cases including creating violence.

Among the arrestees, two were from BNP and Jamaat each, the sources added.

Moreover, 21 people were arrested in different cases in Jhenaidah.

Jhenaidah police super Altaf Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
