DHAKA: Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel will be deployed in three city corporations areas from Saturday night ahead of polls.

A total of 100 platoons of BGB men will be on patrol in Dhaka North and South and Chittagong city corporation areas, BGB public relations officer (PRO) confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The PRO explained that 35 platoons of BGB will be deployed in Dhaka North and South each while 30 platoons in Chittagong.

Besides, additional BGB personnel are kept in alert position to avert any untoward incident, he added.

However, the city polls in Dhaka North and South and in Chittagong is set to be held on April 28.
