SATKHIRA: Police arrested 45 persons including six activists of BNP and its major ally Jamaat-e-Islami from Satkhira district.

Sources said that the arrest drive was conducted in different parts of the district from Monday night to Tuesday 11:30am.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Satkhira district police special branch (SB) inspector Sheikh Emdad Hossain said that the arrestees are accused in different cases including of creating violence.

Among the arrestees, one is from BNP and five from Jamaat, he added.
