CHITTAGONG: Police arrested 11 activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir from different upazilas of the district in several sabotage cases.

Besides, the law enforcers, in overnight special drives, arrested 95 people from different places of the district.

Additional Superintendent of Police (Special Branch) in Chittagong Mohammad Naimul Hasan on Saturday confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Lawpersons arrested two activists of BNP, six of Jamaat-e-Islami and three others of Shibir from Satkania and Lohagara. They were accused in sabotage cases, Naimul Hasan added.

He also said that of the detainees, 24 were accused in regular cases while 71 others were warranted.
