CHITTAGONG: Police arrested at least 71 people including two activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir after conducting special drives in different parts of Chittagong district.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Chittagong Special Branch (SB) additional police super (ASP) Naimul Hasan said that police conducted drives from Sunday night to Monday morning and arrested 71 people.

Among the arrestees, two are activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir, he added.

According to him, the duo are accused in the case of creating violence while the others are of regular cases.
