CHITTAGONG: Police arrested at least 103 persons including seven activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir in special drives in different areas of Chittagong district.

Moreover, 68 liters of liquor and 113 pieces of yaba tablets were also seized during the drive, conducted from Monday night to Tuesday morning.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Chittagong additional police super (Special Branch) Muhammad Naimul Hasan said that among the arrestees, four are Jamaat activists and 3 Shibir men.

They are accused in several cases including of creating violence, he added.
