Khaleda Zia greets nation on Ramadan BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia

DHAKA: BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia hoped that holy month of Ramadan would bring peace and happiness to the lives of Muslims across the world.

In her greeting message, sent to the media on Thursday, the BNP chief prayed to the Almighty Allah for divine peace.

‘The holy month of Ramadan is honored as a month of peace, prosperity and emancipation for Muslim ummah. Muslims across the world pray to get the Almighty’s blessings.’

She hoped that month would bring welfare, prosperity and peace to every person.

The BNP chair also hoped that people will leave envy, suppression, injustice as the month of fasting gives the teaching to be a better person.

However, the Holy Ramadan, month of fasting and sacrifice for self-purification, will begin on Friday with due religious fervor and solemnity in the country, as the new moon was not sighted anywhere in Bangladesh sky on Wednesday.

Besides, the Holy ‘Lailatul Qadr’, the night of divine blessings, will be observed on the night of July 14.
