DHAKA: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Wednesday alleged that the incumbent government wanted to kill people by feeding them rotten wheat.

She made the comment while addressing an iftar mahfil organized by National People’s Party (NPP) in a city hotel this evening.

The former Prime Minister also said the government has bought rotten wheat for people.

According to her, the purchased wheat won’t be fed even domestic animals.

Earlier on Monday (June 22), BNP demanded a neutral and fair investigation into the allegation of rotten wheat import from Brazil.

On Saturday (June 20), food minister Qamrul Islam told Jatiya Sangsad that the government will not import wheat from Brazil any more because of its poor quality.
