BOGRA: Police arrested seven leaders and activists of Jamaat-e-Islami conducting overnight drives in Sherpur Thana of Bogra district on Thursday.

The arrestees included the party’s Shahbandegi Union unit amir Zahir Raihan Tufani, Jamaat activists Ratan Hossain, Alamgir Hossain, Jail Haque, Jahidul Islam, Asaduzzaman and Sujon Islam.

Confirming the matter to banglanews Sherpur Thana police inspector (investigation) Mizanur Rahman said that the Jamaat men are accused in several violence cases.
