MUNSHIGANJ: Mirkadim municipality mayor among over 1,000 people join ruling Awami League (AL) in Munshiganj district.

They announced their joining AL after giving a boat-shaped (AL symbol) floral wreath to district administrator and also district AL president Mohammad Mohiuddin at his office on Thursday.

Besides the mayor Mohammad Shahidul Islam Shahin, two municipality councilors Mohammad Deen Islam and Mohammad Afzal Hossain also joined the ruling party.

District unit AL general secretary Sheikh Lutfar Rahman, sadar upazila AL president Afsar Uddin Bhuiyan and freedom fighter Matiul Islam, among others, were also present during the joining.
