DHAKA: Information minister Hasanul Haq Inu said the newly installed portrait of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at National Press Club in city will inspire the journalists.

The minister made the assertion when came to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation on the club premises Saturday afternoon.

He said there was a plot to erase the ideology of Bangabandhu after 1975. But the ideology has been established with the support of Sheikh Hasina and grand alliance.

Installation of Bangabandhu portrait by the journalist is an important episode of history, the minister said.

PM’s information advisor Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, National Press Club president Shafique Rahman and other journalist leaders, among others were present at the event.
