DHAKA: A Dhaka court placed Chhatra Dal president Rajib Ahsan on fresh 5-day remand in three cases filed with Shahbagh Thana of the capital.

Metropolitan Magistrate Shahriar Mahmud Adnan passed the order when police produced him before the court with 30-day remand plea while he was on 16-day remand in eight cases (2-day for each case) with Paltan Thana.

On July 19, a team of detectives arrested Rajib Ahsan and five others along with 45 Yaba tablets in a car at Lebukhali Ferryghat in Dumki upazila of Patuakhali district.

There were 45 arrest warrants against him in several cases.
