DHAKA: A court denied both the remand and bail pleas for 14 activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami.

They were arrested during a secrete meeting at a hotel in city’s Farmgate area on Friday evening.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Mahabubur Rahman passed the order on Saturday afternoon.

He also ordered the authorities concerned to interrogate the arrestees at jail-gate.

Earlier in the day, Tejgaon Thana Police produced 42 Shibir men and plead for five-day remand for 14 of the arrestees for each.
