GAZIPUR: A top terror named Saidur Rahman died in a gunfight with police in South Salna area under Sadar upazila early Friday.

He was also president of Ward 97 Juba League in the capital.

District Detective Police OC Amir Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews adding some arms and bullets were recovered from the spot.

Saidur was a listed criminal of Badda area of Dhaka. On information police raided the South Salna area and there his accomplices opened fire on the police. Later for defense for also opened fire, leaving Saidur dead on the spot.
