DHAKA: Ruling Awami League (AL) earned over 9-crore and spent over 3-crore in past Bangla calendar.

A three-member team comprising AL office secretary Dr Abdus Sobhan Golap, sub-committee deputy secretary Advocate Riyazul Kabir Kawsar and lawyer Saifuddin Khalid submitted the party’s yearly audit report to Election Commission (EC) on Monday afternoon.

Abdus Sobhan Golap said that the party earns money from the contributions of primary members, MPs, central committee members and proceeds from several publications.

They send the money for arranging discussions, seminars, party office expenditures, salaries of employees and other sectors.
