DHAKA: Police detained Dhaka City (North) unit Swechchasebok Dal convener Yeasin Ali from Doaripara area in capital’s Pallabi Thana Tuesday midnight.

BNP press wing member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Regarding the detention of Yeasin, Pallabi Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Dadan Fakir told banglanews that Yeasin was fugitive accused in 22 sabotage cases. Some of those were filed under explosives act. Moreover, he was warranted in four cases.

Swechchasebok Dal central committee president Habib-un-Nabi Khan Sohel and General Secretary Mir Sarfat Ali Sapu and organizing secretary Shafiul Bari Bari condemned the detention of Yeasin.
