RAJSHAHI: BNP joint secretary general, Rajshahi metropolitan unit BNP president and also Rajshahi former mayor Mizanur Rahman Minu fell sick in prison and got admitted at Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH).

He was admitted at Intensive Care Unit of the hospital around 11:30am on Wednesday.

Rajshahi central jail super Shafiqul Islam told banglanews that the BNP leader was brought to outdoor of RMCH for his toothache.

Suddenly, he felt chest pain and got admitted at ICU, Shafiqul added.

RMCH hospital cardiac department physician Dr Khaleque said that Minu is in a critical condition.

However, the former mayor is in jail following his surrender before the court on July 13 in seven violence cases filed by the police.
