DHAKA: Aman Momtaz Moudud, 38, son of BNP standing committee member Barrister Moudud Ahmed, passed away on way to a Singapore hospital early Tuesday.
Earlier he was admitted at United Hospital in the capital as he was suffering from Dengue fever on September 12. He faced cardiac arrest on following day. As per doctor’s advice, family members decided to take him to a Singapore hospital for better treatment as his condition was deteriorating.
On Tuesday morning, he breathed his last on the air ambulance which was carrying him to Singapore.
BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia and acting secretary general of the party Mirza Fakhrul Islam mourned his death and prayed for his departed soul.
