LONDON: BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia said if the government does not arrange national elections immediately, people themselves will realize their voting rights.
‘Then the government will not find any way to escape,’ she added.
The BNP chief made this assertion while exchanging eid greetings on Thursday in London.
Alleging the incumbent government involved in killing, force hiding and corruption, Khaleda Zia said that Sheikh Hasina does not want to arrange election as she knows that her ruling party will be defeated if national election is arranged.
The BNP chief further said that her party will arrange trials for these irregularities.
Khaleda Zia’s elder son and also BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman and his wife Dr Zubaida Rahman were also present at the event.
