DHAKA: Some people in Malaysia are destroying the image of the country in the name of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) by their activities.

Having no permission of Dhaka, they are carrying on their activities in the name of BNP. They are involved in dirty politics, quarrels, grouping tarnishing party’s image, activities.

Even they are doing the activities of stranding laborers. These dishonest people are giving wrong message to the Malaysians about Bangladeshis.
 
Not only that they are carrying on extortion, human trafficking and manpower business in the name of BNP. Their groupings are causing clashes off and on. These miscreants are creating image crisis of the country and their party. Some policymakers of the party in Dhaka have completely disowned these people.

Some supporters staying at Malaysia told banglanews that violating the party constitution some manpower business people are taking illegal facilities. However, this organization has no registration either in Bangladesh and or in Malaysia, they are holding meetings and rallies.

There are allegations that in the name of BNP these few people are forming committees from Kuala Lumpur to the remote corners of Malaysia. They are extorting Ringgits from the half literate and illiterate workers for using their own interest.

A number of central leaders of BNP at Dhaka told banglanews that BNP is a political party. According to RPO of Election Commission, the party cannot have any foreign branch or wing. However some expatriates in some countries are carrying on political activities harming the image of the party.

They told that the expatriates in Malaysia can form ‘Malaysia BNP’ taking registration from Malaysian government. But so far we know that Bangladeshis in Malaysia do not get their citizenship. No foreigners can do politics there.

One expatriate living in Malaysia for a long time told banglanews that those are doing BNP politics here have the background of manpower business. They have formed this organization only to expand their business. Practically their activities are limited only in Kotarya and Bangla Market areas.

Though the position of BNP in own country is very at stake but some people in Malaysia are earning bad name for the party. When in 2014 Delawar Hossain Sayedee was awarded death sentence this Malaysia BNP arranged demonstration programs even the seize program of Bangladesh embassy.

This so-called BNP are divided into many groupings and sub-groupings here. They have married Malayan women and showing influences. There are many groups of BNP in Malaysia namely, Shahidullah group, Mahbub group, Mosharraf group and Engineer Badal group.
 
At present Shahidullah Shahidul claimed himself as the president of one faction while Mahbub Alam Shah as convener of another faction. But none of them has no approval of Dhaka nor the registration of Malaysia.

Organizing secretary of one faction Kazi Salauddin told banglanews that he has devoted to his own business making his involvement with BNP less.

Only using the name BNP, many misdeeds and many varieties of organizations have spread up in Malaysia. About five months back one organization has been formed as Koko Smriti Parishad.

BNP standing committee member Brigadier General (Rtd) ASM Hannan Shah told banglanews on Wednesday that he cannot say anything about it rather the party acting Secretary General can say better. 

However, the acting Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir could not be contacted despite several attempts over phone.
