MAGURA: Police detained Sreepur upazila chairman and also president of upazila unit BNP Badrul Alam Hiro for his alleged link with sabotage plan.

Sreepur thana officer-in-charge (OC) M Monir told banglanews they have information that a vested quarter led by Badrul Alam is attempting to create anarchy in different areas of Sreepur.

Following that, police detained the BNP leader from his residence in the morning. Later, he will be produced before Magura Judge Court at noon.

Police has secret information that a quarter has planned to create sabotage at different places to destabilize the country.
