DHAKA: Election commissioner Mohammad Shah Newaz said that the municipality elections will be held in December.

He made this disclosure to the media at his office in Election Commission (EC) secretariat in city on Tuesday.

According to the commissioner, elections for 250 municipalities will be held in the third week of December.

Party symbols can be used in the upcoming elections, he added.

According to Shah Newaz, different ballot papers will be used for different posts in the election.
