39 Shibir men held in Bandarban

BANDARBAN: Police on Friday detained 39 leaders and activists of Islami Chhatra Shibir, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, while they were holding a secret meeting in the Sadar town.

Bandarban officer-in-charge (OC) Rafiq Ullah told banglanews acting on tip-off, police detained the Chhatra Shibir men from Islamic Library around 12:30pm.

“Police is grilling them,” he added.
