SATKHIRA: Joint Forces, in special drives, have detained  53 activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami from different places of the district.

The joint operation conducted between Friday night and Saturday down in eight upazilas of Satkhira.

Of the detainee, one is the activist of BNP while rests are involved in politics of Jamaat-e-Islami and its student front Chhatra Shibir.

Satkhira district police detective branch (DB) sub-inspector Enamul said that during joint forces operation, 14 were detained form Sadar Thana while 10 each from Kolaroa and Kaliganj, four each from Asashuni and Tala, six from Patkelghata and five from Shyamnagar Thana.
