DHAKA: Jatiya Party Chairman and ex-president HM Ershad Thursday urged the Hindu community leaders to extend their help in tackling the existing political situation of the country.

He made the call while exchanging opinion with the leaders at his Banani Office marking Janmashtami, the birth anniversary of Lord Sri Krishna.

He also urged them to come forward to help maintain the communal harmony in the country.

Jatiya Party Presidium Member Kazi Firoz Rashid, Tazul Islam Chowdhury, Alamgir Sultan Lotan and Mukul Bose, among others, were present at the programme.
