BANDARBAN: Police detained Bandarban district unit Jamaat-e-Islami ameer Abdus Salam Azad in allegation of creating sabotage.

He was picked up from his residence located in Chairman Para of the district town.

Sadar Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Rafiq Ullah told banglanews that district unit Jamaat ameer was held apprehending a sabotage in the area.

‘He was being interrogated at police custody.’

Legal action will be taken later, the OC added.
