DHAKA: BNP chairperson and former premier Khaleda Zia has returned home from London on Saturday evening.

She reached her Gulshan residence around 7:30pm.

Around 5:10pm, a flight of Emirates Airlines carrying the BNP leader landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in city.

Several hundreds of BNP leaders and activists gathered near airport to receive the BNP chairperson. They carried banners, festoons and posters and chanted slogans.

Earlier on September 14, Khaleda Zia left Dhaka for London for her medical treatment.

She stayed at the flat of her elder son and also BNP senior vice-chairman Tarique Rahman during the visit.
