DHAKA: Detective Branch (DB) of police early Thursday detained five members of banned extremist outfit Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) for allegedly attacking police at Ashulia and Gabtali check-posts and bomb blast at Hussaini Dalan in city.

DMP DB deputy commissioner Masrukur Rahman Khalid confirmed the matter to banglanews.

On October 23, two people, Sajjad Hossain Raju and Jamal, were killed and over 100 people injured as several crude bombs blasted at Hussaini Dalan during preparation of Ashura Rally by Shiites in old Dhaka.

Police filed a case with Chawkbazar Police Station in city in this connection.
